Review for Fast Calorie Counter

APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

3 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: A simple way to keep a calorie log.
  • BUMMER: The app's food database comes from an external site, which can be a hassle to load up and use.
  • COOL: There's an “Intake Calculator” feature that can help users figure out how long it will take to reach their goal.

While the majority of calorie counting apps in the Android marketplace are very precise, allowing you to search for or add what kind of vegetable you had with dinner, or what brand of canned tuna you had for lunch, Tablet Fast Calorie Counter just asks you to type in the number of calories you've consumed.

The app then tallies the number of calories eaten during any given day and tracks it over time.

It's an ideal set up for people who aren't looking to spend their time searching through a database for a particular brand or preparation style.

Further, an option called a “Food Dictionary” is available for users who would like to be more accurate, or perhaps, just don't know a meal's calorie count. Although Food Dictionary takes time to load, it displays well on the larger tablet device.
