No matter what your faith, the spirit needs love, too. You can find comfort through prayer, meditation, Bible study, or by listening to a sermon. No matter what your fix of fancy, there's something for you in the Android Market. Here are some of the top Android apps for the spirituality-minded.

Prayer & meditation

Take a moment to reflect on your day, with the iPray Christian app. It brings daily prayers from various Bible passages, in a handy app to keep you on the straight and narrow. There's a good deal of social activity wrapped in this app, so you can receive tweets and updates, always reminding you to take that moment of meditation.

Hebrew Prayers is a great Android resource, with a collection of relevant prayers, including Tefilat Hamazon, Shir Hasirim and Tikun Klali. Search through this free catalog of essential prayers, which are written in Hebrew. There are custom options, such as font size and color for your reading comfort. There are other versions in English, as well.

iZen is a music meditation app, aiding you in reaching your inner calm. The peaceful music lulls you away from the stresses of the day, with varied tunes to keep you focused on meditation. The interface is easy to navigate, and you can set the playback duration time, among other settings. This Android app is free.

Lifting the spirit

Need to get to church? Try the Church Finder app. It's a search tool for locating nearby churches, with Google Maps integration for navigation and church details. Free, this Android app filters by church denomination, so you can quickly and easily find a place of worship for your individual needs.

Sometimes your spirit needs a little pick-me-up. Try Daily Inspiration for a collection of comforting quotes and proverbs. They're all about joy, happiness and love, from famous writers, leaders and books. You can share your inspired moments on Twitter and Facebook, hopefully inspiring others, as well.

Affirmations! is an app that gives you an ongoing stream of positivity, reminding you of the wonderful person you're meant to be. Read the affirmations aloud, and have a more productive day. Thumb forward and backward through the affirmations in this free Android app, star the ones you like, and share them across the social web.

Study time

Simple Spirituality is a practical study app from Todoroo, the company behind the popular Astrid task manager app. Designed as an accompaniment to Simple Spirituality, a book by Chris Heuertz, this $1.49 Android app comes with study notes, to-do lists for working your way through the book, and suggested passages for later reference.

Touch Bible NET is a mobile resource, with a searchable Bible and study notes included. The $3.99 Android app will track your notes, so you can make sense of them and their Bible references later. Bookmark Bible passages for later reference, view your notes over Bible passages, and stay on top of your studies.

SermonAudio is great for those who can't regularly get to church, or people who just want to hear a specific sermon. This free Android library taps into the SermonAudio web site to stream sermons from thousands of speakers. It comes with videos and text transcripts, where supported, and a local church search tool, so you don't stray too far from the flock.
