ShopSavvy will help you find the lowest pieces on an item either on the internet or locally. I really like the idea behind this app because it's good to know if something I want to buy is reasonably priced by comparison.

Unfortunately the majority of the items that I scanned while at some of my favorite shopping places did not show up on this app.

I'll be giving it a try in another few months to see if they've added more products.

This bar code scanner app allows you to find the best online and local prices with easy access that allows you to purchase from top retailers. I don't like to waste my time running from store to store - this app is a great time saver.

I know this is one of the most popular shopping apps out there and I don't know if I'm just shopping for the wrong stuff or what. It doesn't really give me much info on pricing options beyond Amazon. Nothing local ever seems to appear. If I wanted Amazon prices, I'd just scan the barcode in the Amazon app.

A good idea on paper but not practically useful yet.

I liked this app because it was a great idea. Scan the barcode of something and get the cheapest price locally or online. However, I found a lot of products that are not searchable, in my experience, athletic equipment. When I tried scanning some baby food, I got results for very big chain stores, but nothing near by and I'm in a big city. So local stores and smaller chains are left out. A lot of products are not even found.

All in all its a great app and when you find an item it works with , it really does work. Unfortunately the database is still way too small and they seem not to support anything but big chain department stores.

I would use this as a last resort in my shopping.

ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner

I started out with Barcode Scanner which I thought was a great program, but I like this program so much better. I find the interface to be much better and easier. I live in a small town in Maine, so I didnt expect it to give local store prices. However, whenever I am pricing a high ticket item (LCD TV, Wii, etc.) from say Best Buy, I can see how much I can save from getting it online from places like Newegg.com.

Doesn't work with any of the major california grocery chains around here

ShopSavvy sounded like a great idea on paper: Scan the barcode of an item and receive the latest prices for said item in your town. My wife often shops at different grocery stores to get different deals, so this seemed like an excellent application for her to plan her shopping trips Unfortunatly none of the grocery stores in this city(Merced, CA) or in Fresno, CA are in the database. Savemart, Food4Less, Raley's, Vons, Walmart, or even Rancho San Miquel show up. Instead I'm given whatever price is available in the Kmart in Atwater, CA as the closest retailer. To add insult to injury it declared my loadf of white bread to be a copy of Barack Obama's 'Audacity of Hope', meaning I couldn't even get a search on it if I tried. Very disappointing.

Works well, but...

I like its overall function, but I have 2 problems with it that caused me to uninstall. 1) The app loads at device startup and hogs memory. 2) Comparison info is limited. The online stuff is nice, but for local stores, it only listed Kmart & Sears and not Target & Wal-mart.

Quick and fast. Tried it on an item I didn't think it would find. Found it in less than 5 seconds. Would highly recommend this App.

Very good app overall, I've just found Barcode Scanner to be a little quicker but only because it's more lightweight. This app gives a ridiculous amount of product options.

Great Way to Find the Best Deals

Scan a product's barcode and you can then see its price at other local and online stores. You can get directions to local stores where the product is cheaper, or instantly order online for less. A must have.
