Everyone should know about the fabulous service provided by Groupon. Daily deals on things to eat, see and do in your local city as well as places you’re traveling to.

Personally I love Groupon, it’s great for finding deals at local places that I want to eat but maybe can’t afford to spend lots of money at. Also great for picking up half off admission for that trapeze class you’ve always wanted to go to.

The official Groupon app gives you one place to search, buy and track your purchases. There is also an added benefit that you don’t have to print out your Groupons and can scan them directly off your phone. I haven’t tried this yet but can’t wait to get rid of the “print groupon” step.

So glad the dev added a “notifications” option so that you can turn this feature on and off. Great app for anyone looking for a good deal!

I'm a big pessimist when it comes to good shopping deals. I always think there's a catch. I don't have patience for Coupons. Thank goodness for my wife who does! This app which syncs with your email account online is great. One day I received a Groupon (in my Daily Groupon mail) which offered a Dental cleaning and xray/checkup. Since I don't have dental insurance and am in dire need of a professional flossing, this $49 local deal with a reputable Dental Practice was just in time. I also just received a Daily Groupon for discount tickets for the Super Pet Expo here in NJ. Being an owner of 3 pups, what a super way to enjoy a weekend with $10 weekend passes-plus I can bring the pups along! Big fan of this app which you set up based on your geographic habitat.

Fabulous app! Easy to use and I love that I can access my Groupons from my iPhone.

Nothing fancy, but has its perks

Groupon launched their first Android app this month, and as a Groupon email subscriber I was anxious to see what it would offer me beyond the daily emails I already receive. Additional offers? Sneak peeks at coming deals?
In a word, no. It’s the exact same coupon you’ll see in the emails. But there are a few perks to using the app. When you sign in, you can track which Groupons you’ve already bought and when they expire. For those who purchase often this might be a handy feature. In addition, you can just access your purchased Groupon through the app and then just show it on the phone at the store/restaurant/whatever to get your discount, instead of printing and having to remember to bring along a paper coupon.
Nice touch – and it saves a few trees too.
