Android App User Reviews

Works well, but...

  • App review for ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner

I like its overall function, but I have 2 problems with it that caused me to uninstall. 1) The app loads at device startup and hogs memory. 2) Comparison info is limited. The online stuff is nice, but for local stores, it only listed Kmart & Sears and not Target & Wal-mart.

This is a great Bible App. Easy to read text, great reading plans you can follow and it can even find Live Events near you using your GPS. I love this app!

Yay for Cheaters!!!

This is a great app for cheating on the Super Mario Brothers Wii game! My son and I use it every time we enter a Mushroom House. It works every time and is easy to use. It's a great way to get extra mushrooms and powers. I highly recommend this app!

Unique gameplay!

The app features unique gameplay and gorgeous graphics! It's like Angry Birds but where the trajectory line remains permanent. May sound easy but gets tougher as you progress.

Just Okay - Lots of Potential

  • App review for WSDOT

Updates come often to correct bugs, but it relies on unreliable loop data to produce travel time estimates. Used it once to go to airport and almost missed my flight!

Does a great job, but crashes without an internet connection

  • App review for Appolicious

Appolicious' Andriodapps.com application makes it really easy to update your library on the site. Unfortunately it crashes if the Internet connection is too shaky or not present, making it the only android application to ever crash on my phone.

Good, but some compability issues

I chose this ICanHasCheezburger.com app solely due to the fact that the other one wanted to be aware of my exact GPS coordinates. The application can browse each of the network's site from IcanHascheezburger.com HackedInRealLife.com etc. Unfortunately the captions don't always show in the pictures and the .Gif files don't play at all. Still good for getting some laughs when bored.

A good comic inside a great app

  • App review for Anda's Game

This is the first of the 'mobile comics' I have downloaded. THe comic itself is decent, but Robot Comic's app does a great job of presenting it with several features and a frame-by-frame view for mobile screens.

Cool wallpaper to impress your friends

The first android ap I ever downloaded was this wallpaper. It displays menacing purple-black clouds and lightning flashes amongst them. Beautiful to look at, a quick eyecatcher when you show someone the phone. No ads

Thje Police

I am not sure if it works and I hope I never need it. But if my phone is lost I can lock it or wipe it so it does give me some peace of mind.

Common Sense

This would be a good read for someone who has no clue where to start blogging. Would've been more helpful with live hyperlinks to be used as a resource for future reference.

It's OK

Very British. Not much similar to the Boggle app available for iPhone (which is, I think, put out by the toy store game's manufacturer). It's OK.

Phone version of google docs

  • App review for GDocs
  • Posted by ChargerIIC September 01, 2010

Having lost dozens of important files over the years to misplaced disks and USB drives, I've come to appricate the Google Docs service and it's ability to keep my last essay paper in the "cloud". GDocs is a phone version of the google docs website, complete with access to your current Google docs. While spreadsheet editing can still be a pain, being able to view my weekly budget on the fly is a fantastic addition to my smartphone.

Fantasy Football

Was walking the dog today and I made a few trades and picked up a wide receiver I needed all from my phone. Life is good.

Fandango's Website, minisized

A great app for finding movie times, the app basically lets you search for movies in theatres near you based on a Zip code you enter. While it doesn't do anything fancy, it does let you purchase tickets remotely, which is a great feature if you just got sold out at one theater and want to make certain you have tickets for the next one.

A great action RPG, but controls are a little touchy

  • App review for ZENONIA® LITE
  • Posted by ChargerIIC September 01, 2010
  • Recommended for Gamers or Tech/Social Networking Junkies

One of the few quality RPGS out on the android platform, Zenonia contains a decent plot, beatiful graphics, and good gameplay. The controls can be a little hard to use, especially attacking as the hero slices twice for ever button press. Abilities are a little haphazard as well, I think an instruction manual might be needed. Still a fun experience on my phone and I'm looking forward to buying the full game.

Great fun, but software has a learning curve

GeoBeagle is a free application that lets you track, find and log Geocaches. Essentially a freeware version of the offical geocaching application, GeoBeagle lets you find caches using the geocaching.com website and feed the location data to GeoBeagle, where it'll use you phone's GPS to guide to the Geocache. For a beginning geocacher it's a great application that wont deflate the wallet.

Fun, quick based strategy game

  • App review for Antibody2 Lite
  • Posted by ChargerIIC September 01, 2010
  • Recommended for Gamers or Tech/Social Networking Junkies

Antibody gives you a series of different sized 'cells' with you and an AI opponent trying to take over the neutral cells in a bid to overwhelm to other. Gameplay is very fast paced, and has you clicking as fast as you can. There's not a whole lot of variety in gameplay, but it's still a good bit of fun.
