Nice photo application that will allow you to use preset environments to put your photos of people in...like in billboard, magazines etc. Image is uploaded then downloaded with the effect..fast process and final result can be saved to send as mms or attachment to your friends.

still in beta, but a nice alternative for video/music player from the default andoid installed players. I use it to play dvd's & music video converted to the h264 mp4 file and results are great. Plays my mp3 files nicely also, and finds the music/videos on my 32 GB micro sdhc card without issues.

Though still in beta, the skyfire browser offers ability to view video within the browser, unlike the default browser of droid or opera mini browser.

You need a task killer and this one is effective and simple to use. You can select what to kill and what to let run. Moto Droid

TV Listings

The app does accurately show what is on a given station and if it is a new program but our listing has not been updated to reflect the new channels even though it has been several months.

Great App - little hard to find homebrew ROMs

Another early download on my android phone, Gameboid is a great emulator chocked full of features and with a really good speed built into it. Be forewarned that like all emulators it tends to take all available processor speed whether it needs it or not.

Great app - poor comic

I love Robot COmics android applications for the way they present comic books in a mobile-friendly dynamic fashion. That being said, Bear Beater Bunyan tried to be humorous and failed horribly. The writing was really bad. Really, really bad.

  • App review for Alchemy

Alchemy is a game where one tries different combinations of the 4 elements to make new elements and then combine them for crazier stuff. There's no scoring, levels or any such - just the fun of trying to figure out what combinations you haven't tried yet. A great bit of diversionary fun.

Strong start for a Beta

This is a great alternative to digging through your whole address book when you want to contact one of your favorites. And it beats the speed dial because it pops up the option for phone, email, or text each time. You can customize it with groups from your address book, and change the size to fit your screen. It's a little laggy for my taste right now, and I think the look of it is a little bland, but as a beta app it's really strong so far.

So cute!

This theme features icons starring our little green Android guy - holding the Gmail logo, holding the phone, holding the message logo, etc. I wish it had more logos with him on them, actually, but the developer seems keen on making more, so I'll keep checking back.

On my phone right now

I love the look of this ADW theme - a gorgeous blue ocean wave in the background and a wooden dock bar at the bottom - reminds me of a boardwalk. Only thing keeping it from 5 bars is the occasional force close, though that MAY be ADW and have nothing to do with the theme.

You never know when you'll need it

I got this one super-fast when the karaoke night took a turn toward 80s power ballads. It's infinitely cooler than just holding up a phone on flashlight setting or something.

Slick!

This app fills the chat void in the Facebook for Android app. It's a lightweight little chat machine and I find it a little quicker to notify than my old standby, eBuddy.

Every time I load it, it says "Content has been deleted, please uninstall." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck.
