Out of all the news apps I like using Fox News the best. It is a very solid app that crashes very rarely and is laid out in a very clear and easy to use way. The app is divided up into main tabs like "Articles, Videos, Slide shows, Shows, Favorites". Each tab has all of the stories listed below it as well as a secondary horizontally sliding navigation bar that breaks the tabs down into subsections. At the top left side of the title bar your location and temperature are displayed. You can also update each page by using the bottom right reload button. Once a tab is selected, you are presented with buttons like "Top Stories, 2012 Election, U.S., World, Politics, Entertainment, Leisure, Health, Sci-Tech, Opinion, Sports". Once you are viewing a story you can slide your finger horizontally and move between stories which makes browsing a snap. The videos on the video page work very well and load into their own browser which makes it quick and easy to view a video then continue to browse in the app. I recommend this app for anyone that likes their news up to date and in an easy to use format to browse.

Fun endless runner with lots of cool spy gadgets. It's lacking tilt controls, which is a bit of a bummer, but apart from that, it's fun stuff.

This is just like the website but compacted into a nice mobile app. Anything you need to know about health is there. If you are need a solution for an injury or sickness on the go, it's perfect.

This app takes a long time to retrieve information. It works, but I feel like there could be improvements. I always found the web more reliable for finding flights than this app.

This app is quick and obviously informative. I use it all the time. If you like using Wikipedia on your computer you should download the app. Info on the go!

Pointless

I don't know why they have a free version- nothing comes with it. It's just a preview of what you could buy. They say you can make infographics of your personal data and info but you cannot. It generates one infographic for you and it's not even accurate. That's the only infographic you get. Deleted it.

This app is really fun. The user can apply different frames, filters and effects to their photos. There are so many categories and different things you can do to your photos. You can also share your photos on social media networks and via email and text message.

QikRide Chicago Metra

This app has saved me from missing my train multiple times! You just have to set your location and where you want to go when you want to go. It provides you with all of the metra times, as well as how much time you have to catch those trains. It also allows you to set an alert to remind you that you have to leave for the train. Convenient app!

Google Sky

Google Sky has really awesome technology. By holding your phone up to the night sky you are able to locate and define every star and planet formation. It keeps you occupied and you can learn things you didn't know. It's fun and informative.

Panel App

The concept of this app is cool, however it is not executed throughout the app itself. The visual setup is not user-friendly. It will constantly alert you with questions (a panel) about where you were at a certain time. It repeats locations; so if you are at work all day you don't receive "points". I don't like it.

Belly

With Belly you can earn points and rewards by going to your favorite places. You don't have to weigh down your wallet with customer loyalty cards when you have your phone with the Belly app on it. When you walk into a restaurant, bar, store, etc with the Belly code you just have to scan it with your phone for points. Really easy to use

The Mashable website is a true tech geek heaven, offering up daily news on everything from social media to business to SEO. The app is decent if you're on the go and want to read part of the article, but if you want the whole thing it takes you to the site. Still a must have.
