I love Rdio as a service, but after upgrading to ICS, exiting the app is strange. I just unplug my headphones and it shuts down. Pausing it will shut it down after a time delay. GREAT BUFFERING! I get right to the music
Must have for any Zipcar member. My only complaint about the app is that it isn't clear it accepted your reservation extension.
Bloons TD 4 is a rare, harmless tower defense game. The goal is to pop balloons, not blow up soldiers or anything violent like that. Such a solid game!
SigFig helps organize all my investments. It's a handy, well-designed app. Super advanced way to manage your portfolio.
I always forget my list at home, but never forget my phone, so this is really convenient. A few things that could improve this:
-remember things the user inputs
-put commonly added items at the top
-expand list of existing items - many common items are just not in the pre-populated list
I have not yet tried to sync with another phone so I can't comment on that piece, but for an individual keeping a list this is serviceable.
I have used this app for a few different things. It has been good for everyday use if you have a standard group of people you like to talk to - rather than trying to do a mass text to lots of people you can just open this up and send one text to your group - it's like having an email list for texting. I have also used the group call function, and it worked way better than expected - you just dial the group and it calls each person individually into a conference call.
The other situation I have used this app was while attending a bachelor party in another city. Everyone was leaving to go at different times, and not everyone had hotel rooms at the same place. This app made it really easy for everyone to meet up and to coordinate the activities for the weekend, and I'm not sure it would've gone as well without this app.
It's great they finally took off the Sony Xperia exclusivity but it's still a bit buggy and needs to be tightened up a bit.
This app is one of my favorite things on my home screen. No matter what is going on, being reminded of fun things coming up each time I look at my phone gets me excited. This is a widget that you just add to your home screen covering 1-3 slots, and is customizable to look the way you want. It also doesn't seem to take that much memory to run and I have yet to experience a bug. Overall I am extremely happy with this app.
Alongside Apex and Nova, Holo Launcher is pretty comparable, but now they've released this HD version based on Jelly Bean, I'm taking another look.
Google voice rocks - it's worth it just for voicemail transcribe but has loads of other great features.
Slice ice is sort of like angry birds - you progress through levels and stages to accomplish the tasks. It's got the same type of addictive feel as angry birds as well.
This is one of my favorite photo editing apps. Super easy to use and I have the free version and there's still a lot of cool filters/scenes!
Nice, simple Twitter app for Ice Cream Sandwich with a basic feature set and some nice design elements.
This is definitely a must have app. Doesn't slow down your phone and I love how fully customizable it is. The interface is way better than the one that comes on the phone
My favorite editing app. It's easy to use and has tons more filters/effects than all the other apps. I usually use this first then post to instagram.
I've tried several other twitter apps for android and this is by the far the best one. It's simple and its also cool that you can customize the interface colors. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the zip option!!!
Absolutely love this text app. It's completely customizable and I love having the pop up sms! The sms cloud option is really cool too because I got a new phone and was able to save all my conversations to the cloud and upload them without losing anything!
Uploaded over 2,000 songs from my computer, listen streaming live or downloaded my songs to my phone for 4wheeling trips where service gets spotty. Great app!
Fun game, but I'm stuck on level 55! I've tried tilting with and without my auto rotation on but the blocks still aren't appearing.
