Capture that screen

Works as advertised. The tray notification icon hides itself while creating a screen capture. However, the screen captures are not stored in a folder that can be accessed by the gallery which makes it that you need to have a different tool to access the screen captures.

For this app, root is required.

Great shot!

I like how the game play is set, you are the hunter and look through the cross-hairs of your gun. When starting the game the first time, you have to have Wifi to download the rest of the game's data. After that, you are all set and can play the game. Although I like the game, I am not in favour of killing animals.

Video calling with iPhone!

Nice app, works almost similar as Whatsapp in order of setting your account and phone number. After that is done, it will look for contacts who also have Tango installed and after that you can connect with them using 3G or Wifi to setup a video call. This also works with iPhone users.

I tried the app several times but for some strange reason after a few calls, the app doesn't connect anymore, rebooting the device has effect but after a few calls, it doesn't work anymore. Hope they fix that soon!

Could be better

  • App review for Google Reader

So this is the official Google App for Google Reader. While it perfectly blends in with Android and allows multiple accounts, it is missing some features that power-users of Google Reader really need. Some menu options are too hidden in other menus. For now I am sticking with NewsRob Pro until Google can step up to the plate!

Only useful for Dutch people :) This app gives you the option during the Carnaval season to listen to the Alaaf-tune and also plot your location on a map. This will show where the most people are celebrating Carnaval! The app is straight forward, just one button, and works as advertised.

Ok, your doctor might not accept it but its fun

  • App review for Instant Heart Rate

I read that it measures the color of your skin to measure your heart rate, thus there are problems when you squeeze your finger too hard unto the camera. When you get it just right however, you do get a reading and to my surprise it has been accurate +-4 every single time and I sure did played with this for a whole 2 days lol. I just couldn't get away from how fascinating it looks and how easily it worked. It's very easy to use app and measures really fast, only except in situations when you press to hard or too softly. Takes some practice. Don't tell your doctor you're using this for medical advice haha.

Wonderful little remote

A wonderful project that works. I just make sure the vlc http server is running and this app will pick it up and let me control it through wifi anywhere in the house. The only issue I have with this app is that it has no filesystem or network directory browsing capabilities. There are other vlc remotes with this feature and I believe its important to have that. That feature would allow me to change movies from anywhere inside the local wifi network. Otherwise, this app works and the design is good. Good use of space leads to an easy layout that's easy to see and use.

Interesting concept, not compatible with stores.

This is a cool app and I like the idea. My keychain was filled with discount cards. The app works well at picking up the barcodes and filling up the database with your cards the problem comes when you have to scan them at the store to be used. Many times the scanner doesn't work or the cashier gets frustrated. Basically eliminates the possibility of using the self check out line because those lines usually don't even have a pull out scanner to line up.

Break The Walls Down

I'm the kind of guy who likes to change wallpapers frequently. This app allows me to change wallpaper with the swipe of a finger. Multipicture Live gives me the power to assign a different single photo or photo folder to each individual home screen on my G2.

This is great for me because I'm into customizing my phone as much as possible.

Vintage Vegas

Another photo browser that features photos of popular Las Vegas sites. This is a good app to snag a few Vegas photos for your wallpaper.

All I Do Is Wynn

Wynn Las Vegas has put together a solid app for anyone who might be considering a stay at the resort in the near future.

The app gives you a small glimpse of what the hotel has to offer and provides direct links to book reservations or reserve tickets.

Sin City Site Seeing

This app is a no frills photo browser of the beautiful people and scenery around the Las Vegas Strip and the Fremont Street Experience.

If you've never been to Vegas (or lost your camera while you were on vacation), it won't hurt to check out this photos. The app also allows you to select a photo to use as a wallpaper.

If you want to look at photos of neon lights, detailed decor, Vegas performers and (so called) beautiful people - download it.

'tis ok

It's not much better than the stock player. It has radio, but I can't use with my meager 500 mb dataplan.

Give it a try. I can guess that some would like it much more than I. I was more interested in the sync with the PC and that was brutally slow. In total it took about 15 hours to sync 10 Gig of music. That of course is the PC app which you don't need to use the player app.

What APPens In Vegas...

  • App review for Las Vegas Guide

Excused the terrible pun, but the Las Vegas Guide for Android is a nice app if you are visiting Sin City and would like an insider's look at what's going on in town during your visit.

The app is equipped with four very useful tabs; News Articles (divided by category), Local maps (divided by location), weather (5 Day Forecast) and a link to the Las Vegas Wikipedia page.

ACCIO this APP if you need to know "What Happens In Vegas".

Oops... I did it again.

Tough

This is good, but the controls were a little clunky for me at times. I'm not sure accelerometer ones work so well here, on-screen might be better, but the graphics are very fine.

Good

This is a pretty decent version of an old classic.

Nearly there...

Still a little buggy right now, but hopefully they'll keep updating it. Glad to see this finally ported over to Android.

Feed Your Appetite

The Google Reader does what it says... it aggregates all of your Google Reader feeds and allows you to access them on your cell phone. I prefer viewing my blogs in full html. However, if the site I want to access doesn't format correctly on my phone, Google Reader can be used as a safe alternative.

ACCIO this App if you're a fan of feeds.

Down To Earth

I appreciate the app for what it is. It looks great and has a wide variety of customizable settings. However, it has problems loading on my G2.

Unfortunately, I will have to Expelliarmus this App.
