Agony & Ecstasy

Hipmunk's core concept can generate an amazing travel experience. By sorting flights by the level of agony, you no longer need to cross your fingers that your flight will be serene and smooth. Of course, some things are left to chance, but this service is worth a look for planning a vacation, work-related travel, or to appreciate that such a service exists to maintain a higher standard of human satisfaction.

Grand Slam!

OK, Homerun Battle 3D gets everything right, as far as baseball simulations go. Com2us knows that a full-on baseball simulation is impossible on a mobile device that isn't gaming specific, so they've made the most enticing head-to-head multiplayer title for sports gamers. Even cooler, I can play this game with on my Samsung Smart TV, using my Android phone as a controller. It definitely changes the timing of my swings, but it's cool to see on a 47 inch flat screen.

Best player on Android

My movie player of chocie. Better than the default one, more options, supports a ridiculous number of file formats.

Only feedback would be that it doesn't handle .mkv which is quite frustrating at times, but a short conver to .avi and we're all good!

Worth the upgrade cost at the end of the Lite trial too.

Best defender game on Android

Great, catchy strategy game that had (and recently has again) had me playing for hours.

The games can sometimes go on, especially at higher levels, but that's what you get for getting to level 180 & having to fight off hundreds and hundreds of bad guys!

Simple concept, well executed and exactly what I was looking for. Big 5/5 from me - I'd recommend it to anyone interested in this type of game.

Got what I paid for - a functional screenshot app

As the title really. This app is 5 stars.

You get what you pay for. It's relatively expensive, but it takes perfect screenshots with some neat features to help too.

Works everytime, only goes off in my pocket occasionally & allows me to send my boastful screenshots :)

Fantastic App

  • App review for Scanthing OCR

By far the best OCR (text extraction) app on Android. Use it to extract in english, spanish and dutch for work does a great job and works a treat with Google Translate. The contact discovery feature is cool as it means I dont have to type in long URLs or email addresses. The text to speech is pretty handy as well.

Would like to see support for saving in multiple formats but developers tell me its coming in next release.

The most popular way to send and receive money, the PayPal app is a really handy tool. Now you can send and receive transactions on the go, and like some of the banking apps, snap a shot of a check to deposit into your account.

Certainly the best video sharing platform around, the YouTube android app is a must have for video junkies. Works great and you can play videos within the app rather than in your browser. Also makes it easy to take and upload videos to your account.

Love this app from NASA. It's awesome for teaching my kids about space. I use the news articles a lot, and like that I can email them to myself, print them out and pass out in the classroom.
