Android App User Reviews

Nothing fancy, but has its perks

Groupon launched their first Android app this month, and as a Groupon email subscriber I was anxious to see what it would offer me beyond the daily emails I already receive. Additional offers? Sneak peeks at coming deals?
In a word, no. It’s the exact same coupon you’ll see in the emails. But there are a few perks to using the app. When you sign in, you can track which Groupons you’ve already bought and when they expire. For those who purchase often this might be a handy feature. In addition, you can just access your purchased Groupon through the app and then just show it on the phone at the store/restaurant/whatever to get your discount, instead of printing and having to remember to bring along a paper coupon.
Nice touch – and it saves a few trees too.

Really Great for Those of Us Working in Several Different Time Zones

Type in a city name or a zip code and a square displays with the time and weather. You can see six locations at once. Very useful for my job where I am constantly switching between PT, CT, and ET.

Good calculator upgrade

The best sci. calc layout. All the functions and features are laid out on one page for easy access.

The best visual voicemail app plus so much more. Archive voicemails, record phonecalls while they're happening, and view text translations of voicemails. It's the voicemail swiss army knife.

Go with Google Voice instead

This app is ok if you don't have a Google Voice account or if you just want bare bones voicemail features.

Efficient

This app is just a bluetooth off/on toggle, but the time it saves you from digging through menus makes it a keeper.

Fun app but lacks depth

Cute app but pretty one dimensional. I would like to create my own creature. Also it only has 2 mini-games included.

I love using this app in new places or for finding new spots in my area. Having the knowledge of the crowd combined with pinpointing where I am is invaluable.

Simple Game That Some Find Addicting

Add moving dots to the screen so they don't collide - when they collide, it's all over. Not at the top of my game list, but kind of fun way to become more aware of physics...I can see kids liking this.

Travel junkie on the go

This is the best travel app around. They scour all those other discount travel sites ensuring you get the very cheapest flights/hotels/car rentals and then they keep it all organized for you. Stay on schedule and on budget with the Kayak app.

For those of us more technically minded, this app is a great way to login and poke around your SSH enabled network from your phone. Simple interface and hotkeys for those of us without keyboards on our devices.

Solid and simple

This is probably my favorite photography related app. There are only 3 options, but they never fail me. Those more photographically inclined may want something a little more complicated.

Fun, Classic Game

Works well on the DroidX. Roll a ball around a labyrinth, avoiding the holes. A great time waster.

Don't miss a thing

This app says Bears on it, but you can get it as Cardinals News, Jets News, Saints News, and a slew of others made just for your favorite NFL team. It's got a homescreen widget that even now in the preseason keeps you updated with any and all news about your team, from training to trades.

Don't spend the money

This is a very outdated app that wasn't even very good when it first launched. Now it's so behind on the new tumblr features that it will probably never catch up. Not worth it.

Great app for a great service

Amazon MP3 is an awesome app that fronts a great service. You can download music cheaper (generally) than you can from iTunes and as a bonus it's DRM free allowing you to share your downloads across all your devices.

Solid Barcode scanner

Very good app overall, I've just found Barcode Scanner to be a little quicker but only because it's more lightweight. This app gives a ridiculous amount of product options.
