well quite a nice little app i think. i would give it 5 stars but it doesnt have integrated Skype which is costing me valuable space. im hoping in the future they can add the skype option. but untill then its a great fb/msn chat program. easy to use, login all or seperate.
all in all meebo is a good IM software.

  • App review for Facebook

I believe it to be the best FB app out there, so why did i give it 4 stars? well ill give it 5 stars if or when they add the chat function. thats the only thing wrong with it. apart from that its perfect. its a full facebook in a compact mobile version. So apart from the chat option that is missing (thank god for meebo) its a great app.

yes iphone has a way better app and the BB app is not bad either but for the android this is one of the better ones out there.
and as for ppl complaining about their battery i suggest you get a data monitor, there are a few good ones that will let certain programs sync whenever you want them to. using a fully charged desire i can listen to music for 1 hour (going to work and coming back) stay logged into FB make calls, send and receive loads of texts/emails with gps and sync running all the time. im left with 24% battery before i go to bed.

yes there are many task killers out there and each has their own taste in picking one. i love this app because i use it to "one click" kill apps to free memory (which i use all the time) but i also use it to uninstall apps i dont want anymore. i find it refreshes faster than the built in uninstaller and also you dont have to mess around in settings either. with this app you can exclude certain apps from being killed, such as, an antivirus ap which needs to run all the time.

  • App review for Currency

i have tried many currency converters and this one has to be the easiest most straight forward converter i have come across. it does what its supposed to do. Its very user friendly and clear to understand. easy add/remove currency's, just longclick on a currency to bring up the numeric keyboard. type in how much you want to convert and hit enter, it will then show you the value in all the currencies you have added. want to know the unit price of a currency? simple just click on the currency you want and shake the phone, yes, shake the phone :) it will reset that currency you selected to 1 and give you the unit price. it updates daily so you know exactly how much you should get for the money you are exchanging. I am often abroad and i use it all the time. especially in the countries where you are likely to be scammed on your exchange.

another Rapier's must have app

  • App review for ASTRO File Manager / Browser

This app should be everyones very first install! not only can you brows files on your phone/sdcard but you can copy/past/move files also. But thats not the best part... you can make a backup of every app you have installed on your phone, it will make a backup folder on your sd card and backup your apps as .apk files. apk files are the .exe files for android. meaning you no longer need to download them from the market. just open up astro file manager, browse to the backup file and install the .apk's you want. or just hit the back up tab and install all the files in one go. its that simple.
Great app and a must have for every android user.

This app is always one of my first installs. I use it all the time. just open it up click on what you are looking for (ex. bar) and let the app do the rest. it will show you the closest place to you. click on one that you like, and see some pics/reviews of the place in question. then if you decide to go you can either call to make a reservation or directly click on map and navigate to the desired location. its great when you are on holiday or even when your in an area you dont know.

The built in clock on the 2.0 is better than the older android versions however this clock has to be the best free clock the app store has to offer. Download and see for yourself. customize the colour, it showes time/date/weather/battery/smsit can use standard alarms or you can choose a song from your music collection. It's really a great clock and I wouldnt change it for anything.

Nice little app

  • App review for Gmail Unread Count OLD
  • Posted by Rapier August 30, 2010
  • Recommended for News Junkies, Book Readers, Social Butterflies or Tech/Social Networking Junkies

4 stars for 2 reasons, 1: it doesnt do multiple accounts which is a real shame. and 2: its not REALLY a needed app, however, I love it. its a small Gmail icon widget just like the one you have installed on ur phone already but with a small difference, it shows you how many mails you have unread. Its a nice app and i prefer it to the original gmail icon.

Very Good Movie Player

  • App review for arcMedia
  • Posted by Rapier August 30, 2010
  • Recommended for Film/TV Fans

4 stars but still one of the best video players out there. Supports most formats but has trouble running big .wmv files, it lags like hell. However its great for watching movies .avi, .mp4 and 3gp. Even the really big files 800mb+ run nice and smooth. Great app and a must have for long trips plane/train.
It outperforms most media apps including Rockplayer. whatever this player cannot play then the default stock player will. so dwnld this and you wont regret it.

Going on Holiday?

  • App review for Catch Notes
  • Posted by Rapier August 30, 2010
  • Recommended for Road Warriors, Book Readers or Outdoors Enthusiasts

This app is not only a great notepad but it works in conjunction with google maps and the compas app. great for stamping the coords of a place you visited. you are on holiday in a country where the address is written in a foreign language. switch on the gps, activate your compass and save the coords of the spot you are standing in. it will save into 3banana notes. then later on when you need to get back to those coords, just open banana notes and select the saved file ex. Hotel Morocco. then click on show in maps. Never get lost again. great app for holidays and living/working in foreign countries.

Connect 4

Always liked this game. This verison is rather small and hard to move if you have fat fingers. Would be much better if you could use a stylist.
