Sim-ply the best

This is pretty neat. You can create up to 16 Sims, give them homes, pets, etc. and take care of them, all for free. Beware though, you'll have to download a whole heap of data before you play.

MrSeamail invites you to his crew!!! I play everyday and I gift regularly! Items and energy not stamina or gold! This is very addicting and fun! Use code N2U5V9 and receive a reward!
Don't forget to add 1wretchedwrench, ScrappyTam, Captain_Red_Bull, Seawitch319, and Buck_neer to your crew!

Kapow

Though the touch controls could do with some work, this is a fun, retro top-down shooter with plenty of action.

Escape the Clutches of Ignorance

With this App you get a less bias report of what's really going on in around the world, not just what the local news tells us, hoping that we don't have apps like this. I love being able to read the news happening worldwide.

Master your sounds!

AudioGuru is great for people who need more than just the simple controls that are available in the base ROM on most Android devices.

One of the things I really like about this app is that the widgets are clean looking and easy to setup and use. I also really liked the scheduling feature in this app, and I've been eyeing the pro version which allows you to setup different "schedules" for days that I am in the office and days that I am home.

If you're looking for an app that will help you setup schedules for your ringer / notification sound levels, give this one a try.

  • App review for iris.

Iris seemed like the coolest looking app from all the ones I downloaded on my search for the best Siri-like application for the Android OS.

Looks can be deceiving however and this app is really only worth a good laugh.

When I asked Iris to "send a text message to FirstName, good morning!" it went through the motions correctly and got the whom and what I was trying to send correctly but no matter who I sent a text to I got an error "Error 0: Bad number" even thought the number was correct for the contact. While the text showed up in my sent messages correctly it never did reach it's intended audience. I tried this with multiple contacts with no success.

The second test I did was to ask Iris for "Directions to the nearest Starbuck" and this is where it got interesting. Now you'd expect that it would open maps and try to send me some place poorly phrased or maybe even to the nearest Starbucks as intended. Nope, it flat out asked me "Why do you want it?" Uhm.... excuse me? So I replied "because I want coffee" and it replied "no."

So I guess I don't get coffee today because my AI Personal Assistant wants me to suffer..

Needless to say, this application has some flaws and unless you're into being told what to do, you should maybe try out on of the other apps on the market until this one has a conversation with an exorcist.

Best shopping app!

Love browsing all the catalogs from my tablet. This is a great way to be green - and to go shopping on the go!

iris was unhelpful

Iris was unable to answer a single question. Even when it asks you a question back there's no way to answer. At least not that I could discover. It might be neat someday but right now in 11/2011 it stinks.

It's very nice to play it, few games are very addictive and encourage you to play more and more and response frequently.
