Hippo Santa

  • App review for Air Hippo

In the game "Air Hippo" we can be a real Hippo Santa and bring each child a piece of Christmas.
The objective is simple: through aksselerometra you control your character, collect and give gifts, but you need to watch out for naughty children, as they take you bags. To send a gift, you need to aim for the child and tapnut on the screen, but if you miss, you lose a bag. By passing the gifts you need to collect various bonuses, which include puzzles. From these you can collect Christmas cards and give them to your friends in Facebook.
In addition, the game has a chance to compete with the records of friends from Facebook and Game Center. The game will immerse you in the New Year atmosphere and cheer up in painful anticipation of the New Year.

Texting or non-handsfree calling while driving is stupid anyway, but at least this app can make you a bit safer.

Wow. All I can say is wow. This app is awesome and it's an excellent model of the tablet interacting with a website. In order to unlock the levels you have to visit http://www.theamazingspiderman.com/site/ar. At this point, a series of landscapes will appear. Once you focus on the landscapes with your tablets camera, spiderman appears in augmented reality. Take a photo, learn new moves, swing from building to building and finally unlock new levels. Well designed and fun!

Don't waste time on fumbling Internet connection!!!

Smart WiFi Pro for Android is an exclusive tool to manage your WiFi settings on your Android device. With just one tap, users can toggle the WiFi on/off, check for WiFi hotspots nearby to connect, provide detailed information about all relevant hotspots and automatic switching if 3G is available. The App will search for all the nearest hotspots and present details about them in an intuitive format.

One of the top problems with public Wi-Fi is that you never know whether or not you will actually be able to surf the Web or connect to all of your data-loving apps properly. This app goes ahead of you and makes sure that you will not only be able to get connected to the access point, but you'll be able to use the Internet as well.

The App works incredibly at the moment and you can try the free version before you purchase pro version.

I actually think this is kind of brilliant! Takes the old school concept of hailing a taxi into the high tech app world. But, with kind of a low-tech option. The app is just a yellow blinking "Taxi" sign! Really great for night time.

Potential

Don't think this is ready for prime time yet, but it's a nice idea in principle. Definitely has some potential to help you see which apps you can cut to improve battery life.

Mostly Useful

OneBusAway is a good app if you live in Seattle. You can see nearby bus stops and then get approximate wait times for the buses that stop there. What I'd like to see for 5 stars:

1) Allow better searching for a particular bus line.
2) Make the map less clustered. When you are downtown it's really hard to pick out the right stop.
3) Include an alarm that rings when you have N minutes to catch the bus. In other words, I normally take the #26 and I want a 10 minute heads up before it gets to my stop so I have enough time to run out the door and catch my bus.
4) Connect with more cities

Try this plane shooter game

  • App review for Wings of Fury Arcade
  • Posted by BausOfTheNauf March 13, 2012

Wings of Fury is a fun and action packed fighter plane game in which you have to blow the enemy islands as you fly over them. You have to control the motion of the plane and direct it all the way while saving yourself from the attacks by your enemies. Sounds easy, right? Well, it isn’t since you will be having a limited quantity of fuel and before your plane runs out of fuel you have to complete three tasks- take off, survive all the way by destroying the enemy island and finally landing. Let us take a detailed insight to this mind blowing and quite challenging game.
Features
Wings of fury is an excellent thrilling fighter plane action game which will make you get addicted to it. The challenging environment in the gameplay makes it even more exciting to play the game. Even though the storyline is quite simple there is enough content in the game which prevents the player from getting the feeling of monotonousness.
The game also requires a good strategy to be made by you as you balance the fighting and remaining fuel. Accuracy and timing play an important role in the game. You will get an on-screen joystick to control your aircraft. Your weapons are in the form of guns which are located on the front portion of the plane. As you will progress through the game you will find out that some bunkers are impervious to the bombs and you will need to turn to missiles to take them down.
One another good thing about Wings of fury is that the ambience of the areas in the game will take you back to the days of WW2. You will love the graphical setup of the game and the sounds effects used in the game levels add to the thrill and excitement.
Even though there are just 12 levels in the entire game, it still manages to keep it addictive. Also, the enemies are challenging and with the tough competition it is even more exciting to play the game.

I love It!

Chords can get very complex the more you progress with playing the guitar so with this app whenever you forget where a finger is meant to be or on which fret to place it the answer lies within your pocket.

HangApp - Cool and easy way to hang up!

  • App review for HangApp
  • Posted by idoamir February 19, 2012
  • Recommended for Parents, Students, Career People or Tech/Social Networking Junkies

HangApp is a great new app that allows you to simply put the phone on its face once you are done talking, and the call will disconnect.

It is really intuitive, and easy, and releases you from the need to press a button or touch (or look at!) the screen when you want to hang up a call.

Wearing gloves? Your hands are dirty or wet? Holding a baby and need both hands right now? No problem. You just put the phone on its face, and HangApp will disconnect for you.

It will also play a sound that will tell you the call indeed got disconnected. You can customize that sound - there are some really cool ones you will enjoy!
