APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

4 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: Everything being handled over cloud based streaming saves a lot of space.
  • BUMMER: Needs more in-app features and usability.
  • COOL: You can queue artists up for later, simialr to Netflix!

Rdio is a cool way to find and listen to new music using your Android tablet.

Rdio is a subscription based music streaming service. After creating an account, you can get online and listen to a multitude of full albums for tons of artists. You’ll need to be a premium subscriber to get most of the features, but there is a week-long trial for new users.

Unfortunately, there is no way to search for new artists in-app. You can find different music from the dashboard or from other user’s activity, but otherwise, you’ll have to edit things from the web site and then sync your device later. You can add whole albums to your collection, and then add specific tracks to playlists. It’s also possible to connect to social networks like Facebook, but I was unable to.

Rdio is another great music streaming service for your tablet device.
