Amazing how they do this. Just have your phone record part of a song and Shazam will tell you the artist and title even giving you the options to buy it or share it.
Works as easy as hitting one button. I would expect some more features, like storing a song to identify it later. And shame that for new users it is a paid app.

Just open the app, push a big blue button and hold it to the speaker. 30 seconds or sooner you will have more info on that song than you probably ever need. It even tells between a remake of a song from a different artist.
Shazam is every music lovers app. If you have ever asked the question what's the name of that song, or what album is that song from then this app is for you.
In Shazam you push a button, hold your phone close to a speaker playing a song you want to know the name of and then Shazam listens and compares it against a database. It then sends back the name of the song, the artist, the album, the genre, you can buy the song on amazon, check tour info, check out YouTube videos, view recommendations, talk about it on Facebook, Twitter, through SMS, Email, view the Discography info or download the ringtone.
A few quirks do exist with the app. You can't have the music too loud or too quiet as it will not match properly. Sometimes it won't have a match for a song if it is a remix or if two songs are playing together. Sometimes it just doesn't have the song in the library. But for about 90% of the songs you will want to know more about, Shazam is there for you.
There is a demo available that gives you 7 days of unlimited tagging of songs. After that you have 5 per month. The full version grants you unlimited. I highly recommend this app.
