I've been looking for apps to help me get in better shape and keep track of what I’m eating. This app was recommended to me by a friend who uses it and really likes it. I have to say that I like the interface and the ease of use but I have a few gripes with how it keeps track of meals. I want to know exactly what I’m eating each day and the calorie weight is less important, thought this may not be the case for everyone. So instead of showing you what food you’ve eaten it will show you small, medium and large portion sizes of green (healthy), yellow (meh okay), and red (omg bad) food items. I do like the workout interface but it seemed to lack the “ground workout” option – sit-ups, crunches, side bends, etc. While I don’t think this is a huge issue, and you do have the option of adding “custom workouts,” I did find it a bit strange that it was missing. The one plus about this app is that if it’s missing a food item or workout you can submit a request to the app team and have them add it. I’ve done this with a few items (peanut butter and honey sandwich, crunches, and situps), and hope to see them in a future update. All in all if you’re looking for something to help motivate you and get you back in shape give this app a whirl. Maybe not the best if you’re looking to keep detailed track of what you’re eating every day.
