Review for Vendetta Online (3D Space MMO)

APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

4 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: Very vast and detailed universe for a mobile game.
  • BUMMER: The complex nature of the game provides a large barrier to entry.
  • COOL: The very idea of carrying a full-fledged MMO around with you.

Vendetta Online is a traditional subscription based MMORPG that you can take anywhere with you thanks to Android tablet devices.

The game is a very large and complex one in which you explore space as your very own ship. This isn't the kind of traditional mobile game that people are used to. This is a mobile version of an MMO on the PC and Mac, which all share the same online universe. It's a very slow paced title with a big learning curve.

The game has a monthly subscription fee, but comes with a trial that includes eight hours of gameplay. There is an exclusive single player sandbox mode as well as a special demo mode available only in the mobile version.

This app won't be for everyone, but it's great for any current players who want to play on the go on their Android tablets.

Thanks for your review, Andrew. It is difficult to describe in words just how truly, incredibly awesome Vendetta Online is. I have been playing it steadily for over eight (8) years, and have watched it grow from an 18 sector alpha test to a truly vast universe of over 7,000 sectors! Having it now available on smart phones and tablets is an amazing step for this game, providing a PC caliber experience on mobile devices allowing you to seamlessly pick up where you leave off and play alongside others regardless of whether they are using tablets, PCs (Mac and Linux included) or phones. Never before have I found a game, electronic or otherwise, that delivers the intensity and immersion of Vendetta Online. The twitch combat places you at the helm of a tradeship or fighter with the ability to fly through some awe inspiring battles. Trade between star systems includes a host of commodities that dynamically fluctuate in price, and crafting high end items requires months of research and planning. Probably the most amazing thing of all is that this game was built from the ground up by a team of four people that continue to maintain, develop, and play the game alongside their dedicated fanbase. I am glad I've had the chance to take part in this experience, and am looking forward to seeing where this game heads next.
