Fresh Android Games for May 11: Cleopatra’s Pyramid, Ancient Frog

by Ian Black

Travel in the way back machine in today’s fresh games. Try a card game from ancient Egypt (Cleopatra’s Pyramid) or a puzzle game about a frog as old as time.

Cleopatra’s Pyramid (Free)

Like solitaire? Try this mix of the old and new.

Cleopatra’s Pyramid lets you play solo at a game where you get to clear the board by matching cards out of the hand you’re dealt. What’s cool is the beautiful theme of ancient Egypt that influence the backgrounds, the cards themselves, and the beautiful tiles you win by beating a level that you can later use to create your own pyramid.

The game includes HD support for large screens and tablets, 212 different levels (available via in-app purchase too), and integrated Facebook leaderboards so you can brag to your friends.

Ancient Frog ($2.37)

Not all games need to be competitive.

Ancient Frog wants you to chill out, sit back, and smell the, uh, ancient jungle. On the game’s screen, you’ll see a beautiful frog amidst a gorgeous natural background. You must move the frog across the screen so that he can eat his lunch – a delicious fly.

No need to rush. The whole idea is to take your time. Thus, you move only one leg at a time – by dragging with your finger – to guide the frog onwards.
