by Kristen Nicole

The Angry Birds series is unstoppable, with the latest promotion soaring to 10 million downloads in its first 10 days after launch on all platforms. If warring birds are getting a little cliched for your Android game rotation, there’s plenty of other strategy titles topping this week’s list. Slice It! also hit the 10 million mark this week, though not as expeditiously as Rovio’s fly-away sequel.

Defensive grounds

Your favorite feathered friends have been kidnapped and taken to Rio, where they must escape, and save their friends. Build up your defenses from every angle, destroying the oncoming aliens in this futuristic mission. Still in beta, this Android game is rising in popularity, following the footsteps of earlier editions of Tower Raiders.
