by Ian Black

If you haven’t finished your Valentine’s Day shopping, consider an app as a last minute thinking-of-you idea. Puzzle lovers will enjoy Sudoku Android, and Cute Hairies is a game especially suitable for kids.

Sudoku Android ($1.00)

Sudoku puzzles are still very hot. Don’t fiddle with book or newspaper versions, just download this app and take your fun on the road. You’ll find lots of cool features included – auto-save when exiting so you’ll never lose the work you’ve done so far, hints to keep you from getting stuck, and three different levels of difficulty to ratchet up the challenge even while you improve.

Your score gets calculated based on how long it takes you to solve a puzzle and how many hints you used. View all your past scores in a table. And, as an added bonus use the included "Solver" feature to help you with any Sudoku puzzle you have.

Cute Hairies (Free)

Keep the kids calm in public and grow their brains at the same time. Cute Hairies is a simple memory-matching style game but it has enough fun to keep children playing. The characters they'll have to match are the "Cute Hairies," fuzzballs that come in primary colors. Also, a lively soundtrack makes things interesting.

The characters all change positions under the stars they hide beneath every time you advance to the next level.
