Android App Video Review: Pocket Legends

by Erik Fikkert

MMO games have become one of the largest genres in video games with games like World of Warcraft dominating the online space. Many different developers have aspired to bring that experience to Android phones and some have come ridiculously close, but not anywhere near the depth and fluidity of their PC counterparts. Pocket Legends is a new MMORPG for Android looking to take that challenge head-on and man, does it do a great job.

The game is free with in-app purchases of new areas very similar to the downloadable content in other games. There are three different classes to choose from in the game: a warrior, archer, and enchantress. Each with their own focus, the game plays through like any other, upgrading your character and allowing you to choose how your character evolves.

The game ran fine while I was playing and never lagged, even when there were plenty of characters on the screen. The game looks great, it's a completely realized world and offers plenty of interaction with other players. If you like MMOs, this is the premiere app for you. It's basically a stripped-down version of Warcraft and because of that, I recommend it wholeheartedly. Check it out.
