Fresh Android Games for Nov. 29: Snipe, Apple Fire, Rocket Launch

by Caitlin M. Foyt

In today's batch of Fresh Android Games, fight with your friends, shoot at falling fruit and blast through space.

Snipe (Android) $1.99

Snipe is a vibrant, high-definition shooting game in which you must kill your friends before they kill you. It’s a highly interactive and customizable kind of game. Decide whether you want to play in either single or multiplayer modes and then choose from dozens of different types of weapons. When you play in multiplayer, you can go up against Facebook friends, compare your stats, earn money and receive upgrades. The developers also offer a lite version of this game so that you can give it a try before committing to the full version.

Apple Fire (Android) FREE

Apple Fire is sort of like the classic Nintendo game Duck Hunt only with apples and arrows. Watch as the apples swell and grow on the tree branches. After a while, they will become heavy and will start to fall. This is your cue to aim, fire and hit the fruit before it hits the ground. Not all apples will grow to the same size and the larger ones will fall more quickly. But, watch out! Things will quickly become more challenging as time in the game progresses and you ascend to new levels.

Rocket Launch (Android) FREE

There are few places that serve as a more perfect setting than outer space. In the game of Rocket Launch, tilt your phone from side-to-side in order to navigate your way through the fields of asteroids without being hit. The longer you play, the closer you will come to a collision as the asteroids will start to come at you more quickly. Beat your top score or challenge your friends to play better than you can.
