Because what happens on Wall Street can have a pretty big impact on our lives, it's important to stay up on what's going on over there. But if The Wall Street Journal and pie chart graphics on CNN tend to put you to sleep, Business Insider's easy to navigate app might be your best alternative.
The app, which is a mobile extension of its mother site, allows you to stay up-to-date on what's going on in the world of business and the categories within culture that influence business, like tech, politics, sports and media. The “Latest News” tab of Business Insider is a news feed, updating with the latest stories every couple of minutes.
If you're more specifically interested in one of the topics I mentioned above, the app is divided up so that each of these categories has its own section within the app: Tech, Markets, Wall Street, Media, Strategy (tips for success kind of articles) and Sports. Because everything is so neatly organized, finding your way around the app is a snap.
In fact, I would go so far as to say that this app is pretty accessible to people of all industrial backgrounds. Business Insider's writing style, which is very light and easy to follow, means that anyone can understand and enjoy the articles available through the application.
The one key complaint I had with Business Insider, though, was an occasional lag. When jumping from tab to tab, I sometimes had to wait several moments before content would fully load.
