Financial help is on the way with Android app BNA Quick Tax Reference

by Caitlin M. Foyt

BNA Quick Tax Reference for the Android platform probably will be a welcomed reference guide for tax attorneys, CPAs, corporate tax managers, estate planners and financial accountants. The rest of us, though, might only benefit from this app second-hand.

BNA Quick Tax Reference is an electronic version of the Quick Tax Reference Guide, a book that's available to help out the professionals every tax season. What this app does is give users quick access to all of the specific details they might need during the early parts of the year. For example, this app can calculate mileage rates, personal exemptions, capital gains and estate- and gift-tax rates.

What's great about this app is how simple it is to navigate. Everything you need is laid out on a single scrollable page. If you want to learn more about pension- and retirement-plan limitations, just click on that particular tab.

A neat addition to this app is the inclusion of tax information from previous years, dating back to 2007. Whether you actually need this data to complete some paperwork or you're just curious about the numbers, the information is conveniently at your disposal. To check out a different year, click the back and forward arrows at the bottom of the screen.

Please take note that these numbers do not default back to the present. To avoid making silly mistakes, and using numbers that reflect a different year, always double-check to make sure the year is set to the present.

BNA's Quick Tax Reference is perfect when you're on the go, need to make a quick reference, or are meeting with clients.
