Love how it syncs with my gmail.
Love how it syncs with my gmail.
At first I thought I didn't need this app other than syncing my apps to my library here. But then I realized that it's so much easier to navigate than Android Market, and also I love the fact that you can connect to your Facebook account to find the apps that your friends have. Also love that you can use your phone to scan the QR codes of apps for instantaneous download.
Apps like this are the source of discovery for a majority of my app library because going through the app market looking for apps i might want to purchase can be a very tedious process. The variety of categories is nice to be able to narrow down your search so finding the right type of app I want is always easy. Because I can also find apps that my other friends are using via link to facebook, there'e never an awesome app I don't already have or have heard about.
This little app is so useful! Not only does it allow me to check for new apps that I want to upload for review to my AndroidApps or Appolicious library but it also suggests apps that I might like.
I also have a few facebook friends that are also big into apps and this will show me what apps they use and like.
I love that this app is intuitive and will work on both my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and my HTC EVO and not get confused.
All in all if you like networking to find your next awesome app this is the one for you!
I'm new to an Android based phone (LG Optimus S) and I am completely overwhelmed by the availability of apps. Although I had a few games on my old phones and PDAs, I'm enjoying "useful" apps (yelp, maps, ebay, weather, docs, directv, shopkick, etc.) so much that I have yet to DL a single game (and I doubt I will, but I might). So I do appreciate this app to help me filter through all the content. I've been reading the website for a while via Yahoo! -> Tech --> apps and finally decided to add it to my phone. Thank you Appolicious!
Im new to Appolicious, but this app is great for adding apps to my library on the web site. I really like how it recognizes new apps and only shows me the new ones i add to my phone for me to update to the website. I like the look as well, its simple and provides you with what the web site has to offer... recommendations for apps, other users lists, etc.
This app helps me narrow down the multitude of options out there for my droid to a manageable menagerie. I linked it up with my facebook to get info based on my friends, which is really informative. A solid app!
Great App that helps you recommend you those apps that you are unsure of or just want to find ones like the one you want.
I use my Android all throughout the day. Apps have made my life tremendously easier and Appolicious keeps me up to date with Android apps, news and hands-on reviews. This app's got it all!
This app is a great improvement over the previous version, and the new app suggestion features are pretty fun. What I like most is how the app is easy to navigate the way this site is. I hope that in the next version we can use the "like" feature the website has for the curated lists.
The caveat is this... I had the WORST time trying to get this installed on my rooted phone while running a custom ROM. I have no idea what the problem was, but this locked up on me over and over. I tried to update the old app, no go. Uninstalled it via Settings and then reinstalled, still no go.
WHAT FIXED IT: I used Titanium Backup to uninstall (not the Settings menu) and then deleted all versions and backups of this app. Rebooted, downloaded again, and IT WORKS NOW! I wonder if the backup versions stored in Titanium had something to do with not letting it update. But anyway, thank goodness this is sorted, because everyone was talking about it and I felt so left out.
ANOTHER UPDATE:
If you have more than one Android device and use different apps on each device, this will load ALL of your apps, whether you have them on one device or another, into your Appolicious library. When I first did it on my tablet I thought it might wipe out the library I'd built with my phone, but it didn't. It combined them all. Hooray!
A must have app for info about android apps and discussions about using them. Also by joining up you can keep an online library of all apps you have and apps you wish for in the future.
Was a fan of the app shortly after it was released. The new recommendation function and all the reviews really make it something special. nice work!
I just got a new DroidX and just started putting apps on it, so this app was really useful in recommending new apps to me based on the ones I already have.
I like the way it can give me recommendations now without having to be signed-in or signed-up yet. Also, with all the extra news and reviews available, it's a much better app to visit daily. I also like the price drops -- that's a very handy feature.
This app is super smooth. It takes some time to scan my device, but the pay-off is great recommendations.
Tried on WiFi and 4G--can't login. Just get "Logging in..." and a spinning circle.
I like this app for the most part but it forces close too much.
Well, the latest update has radically changed this program. It now remembers apps you have discarded, and allows for review entries from the phone itself. It has really grown up quickly. I have a renewed interest in this program and hope to use it to its full potential! It's good to see a company take recommendations seriously! Give it a shot!!!
LOVE THIS APP AND WEBSITE-- HAD TO DO A HARD RESET ON MY PHONE AND APPOLICIOUS SAVED THE DAY FOR ME!!!
thanks appol
great app lots of help
Well, without that app we wouldn't have this website. Easy way of sharing which apps you have installed. Love the recommendation and the feature articles.
Dig it, dig it dig it. Makes managing my apps much more manageable and gives me cool recommendations based on my download history. Kinda like Tivo recognizing your habits and recording shows for you. Any app that syncs with a website has my support.
It does what it's suppossed to without a lot of unnecessary overhead or screens. It does the job well and makes it super easy to catalog your apps and interface with the Appolicious community.
I like the way it suggests other apps I may have overlooked or never seen. The only thing I don't like is that it suggest apps I already have, well sort of. I have the paid Shazam Elite so it recommends Shazam, same with Camera 360 and other apps I paid for.
