kcooper11 says: There are lots of sports applications for the Android, from premium apps to apps that are completely free. Here are my favorite apps that I think give the most bang for your buck and keep your head in the game.
kcooper11's picks
  1. Yahoo Sports
Yahoo Sports This is one of the few apps that is able to provide updates for multiple sports and do it well. Despite all the leagues it covers (MLB, NFL, NCAA, NHL, NBA etc.) the app manages to keep a clean and navigation friendly interface. The best part is how quickly the app updates, keeping scores, stats and game info up to date with only about a 10 second lag behind the live event.
  2. NBA Game Time 2014-15
NBA Game Time 2014-15 This is the official app of the NBA. More than just scores, this app delves deep into player stats and it will help you keep on top of your favorite teams schedules as well as the channels the games will play on.
  3. Golf Channel Mobile
Golf Channel Mobile This app takes advantage of all the info available on the Golf Channel site and ports it to your phone. So not only do you get live scores as they happen, but you also have access to all the articles and analysis made by their contributors.
  4. iTrack MMA
iTrack MMA iTrackMMA is your goto MMA app with details fighter profiles and all the upcoming event info there is. It supports every organization ensuring you'll never miss another card, regardless of where it's being held or which promotion is throwing it. This is the best app on the Android platform for keeping up with the fastest growing sport in the world.

ScoreMobile is fantastic in that not only does it track multiple sports in multiple leagues, but also in multiple countries. I can check the Cardinals, Phil Mickelson, and Newcastle United in the same app, with real-time scoring and highlights. I got stuck on this app for Blackberry and it was one of the first ones I got for Android.
