JennyMurphy says: As a mom, I have to plan ahead for everything, especially meals. These are some of my top apps I'll be using this summer for recipe ideas, planning and execution.
JennyMurphy's picks
  1. Allrecipes Dinner Spinner
Allrecipes Dinner Spinner I use allrecipes.com on my laptop constantly, but there always comes a time when I'm out or at the store and need an idea. This app is great for that. You just enter ingredients, cooking method and time you need, allrecipes does the rest! Now you can actually use the scanner to scan and ingredient at the store also.
  2. Epicurious Recipe App
Epicurious Recipe App Love that the featured recipes rotate based on the seasons, so you can get great ideas for those summer recipes. Recipes also include beverages. There is a nice selection, but I'd really love if it synced with my recipe list on Epicurious.com.
  3. Smoothie Recipes
Smoothie Recipes My breakfast in the summer usually consists of smoothies, so this app really comes in handy when I'm at the store and need an idea. Asian pear and strawberry was amazing! Only wish it had more recipes.
  4. Food Network In the Kitchen
Food Network In the Kitchen Here's a cool app for you Food Network junkies (like me). Get some recipe ideas from the likes of Paula Deen, Guy Fieri and more. You can always save your favorites in your recipe box.
  5. Mixologistâ„¢ Drink Recipes
Mixologistâ„¢ Drink Recipes Summer is a time for entertaining (well, really any season!). This popular app has made it to android finally. You can search by drink types, liquor you have on hand and user suggestions. Also love that if you're creative, you can add yours to the list.
