There are a couple of apps I use frequently that come in handy when dealing with Roku channels, even when I'm away from home. If you've got a Roku for your TV, check these out!   1. Remote for Roku
    Remote for Roku Your Roku box came with one remote, didn't it? And what happens when the dog eats that remote, you run out of batteries, or just plain lose it? You download this app, that's what. Use your smartphone as a substitute for the original remote. This was WELL worth the $1.49.
  2. Queue Manager
    Queue Manager This handy app lets you manage your Netflix queue on the go. When you're ready to watch on your Roku, your Instant list is all up-to-date!
  3. Amazon Mobile
    Amazon Mobile I'm a fan of the Amazon channel on Roku, and I love taking advantage of the free movies for Prime members. But one quirk of this channel is that some paid movies ONLY show up to buy, not to rent. Go on the Amazon app, find the movie, and you can click to rent from the app. Then it shows up on your Amazon channel. Wish they'd fix that on Roku, but till then, the app is a must.
  4. Pandora® internet radio
    Pandora® internet radio Roku has a channel that turns your TV into your favorite Pandora station. Whatever you have in your account on Pandora.com or on your Pandora Android app will sync with your Roku channel. It's a lot easier to set up a channel on the Android than on the Roku screen.
  5. roConnect - Roku Remote
    roConnect - Roku Remote Amazing. This app lets you watch movies on your Android, and then you can push those to your Roku roConnect channel - it even lets you pick up where you left off watching on the phone! It's not the easiest thing in the world to set up, but it's pretty sweet.
