says: Having just completed a 1400 mile road trip, I'm acutely aware of how much gas can cost right now. Here are some apps I used on the road to help offset the costs.
GasBuddy - Find Cheap Gas
The name says it all. I found this app to be generally accurate all the way from NYC to Michigan in terms of leading my carload to the cheapest stations around.
This is another bargain finding app I used in combination with Gas Buddy to make sure I wasn't missing any deals. In general, if you only want one gas app on your phone, go with GasBuddy, but this app also gave me very little trouble and was fairly accurate in my experience.
It's always a good idea to keep track of your car's mileage, not only so you can make a realistic gas budget, but it might also alert you when something funny is going on with your car.
