JennyMurphy says: I have to admit that Sacramento is not the most exciting part of this great state of California that I call home. It is, however, worth seeing at least once. Here are some apps to help you make the best of it.
JennyMurphy's picks
  1. Sacramento Transit: AnyStop
Sacramento Transit: AnyStop This free app has all the transit schedules in Sacramento and predicts when the next bus will arrive at a given stop plus has a searchable list of stops. GPS enabled - good for finding stops near you.
  2. ZM: Kings News
ZM: Kings News This is the best app for Sacramento Kings basketball news. It aggregates news from local and national sources and includes blog feeds of popular Kings blogs. Would be nice if you could see scores at a glance.
  3. Sacramento News
Sacramento News An aggregator for an impressive selection of local Sacramento news sources. Keep in touch with what's going on locally on your phone. Great app, works well, easy interface, flexible search.
  4. News10 Traffic
News10 Traffic This free app has real-time traffic maps for Sacramento. Also includes traffic forecasts, traffic cam images, incident reports. I've definitely saved time getting around Sac-town with this app.
  5. SacLib
SacLib This is a Sacramento Public Library app that allows you to search for books, place holds, get reading lists, and follow the library on FB and Twitter.
