My Favorite Android Apps for Portland, Oregon  by JennyMurphy

JennyMurphy says: Portland is an amazing city, lots of beautiful land right around it as well. I love visiting there and these apps help me see the best of it.
JennyMurphy's picks
  1. PDX Quest
PDX Quest One of the best guidebooks I've ever seen - part role-playing game, part guidebook. Quest your way through Portland, level up, collect tokens, and game your way through the city! Lots of fun for locals and tourists alike.
  2. Portland Transit
Portland Transit This app costs $2.34 and has everything you need to know about the Portland buses inclusing route listing, trip planning, stop info (lots of ways to search and you can save favorites). Great app - but isn't always 100% accurate.
  3. PDXGYP
PDXGYP One of the best parts about Portland is its liberal culture. This app lists gay and lesbian friendly businesses in and around Portland. Nice effort - but there are plenty of businesses and even gay bars missing.
  4. Portland Breweries
Portland Breweries This app has a good selection of microbreweries in the Portland area. Map them, and look at info for each brewery, plus easy contact.
  5. Portland Weather from KGW.com
Portland Weather from KGW.com This is a free weather app form KGW.com. Has live weather, radar, cams, a 7 day forecast, and school closures, ski reports and more. Excellent app, great UI - allow users to submit weather videos and photos. Useful.
