Chicago Tribune This is a great news app from the Chicago Tribune. It allows you multiple levels of viewing choices - if you are on the go you can see just headlines, or if you have more time you can see the whole articles. It's got photos, news, weather, local, national, and international news - and a lot more. Set favorites and share articles. Very nice UI. Recommend.

WGN News This WGN app is supposed to have live streaming from WGN - but it's usually broken. Still good for local news, weather, and sports.

FOX Chicago News This is the Fox News app for Chicago. Very simple with headlines and stories. Could use a lot more detail.

Chicago News Lite The free version of Chicago News is ad-supported. Get all of the local news from all the best local news sources. Very comprehensive in its sources, and the app is well-designed.

Daily Herald Mobile Local News This news app from the Daily Herald has local news, weather, national/international news, business news, sports news and scores, politics/opinion, entertainment news and more. It has sharing via email/SMS/social networks and an easy UI and customizable view.
