diablolita says: I've lived in Los Angeles for over a decade, but still need all the help I can get navigating this fair city. Here are some of the apps I use to do so.
GrubHub Food Delivery/Takeout No one likes to drive anywhere in L.A. because of the traffic - and GrubHub has a directory of over 13,000 menus to choose from to get food delivered or to-go. It works really well in LA, saves your address. You can refine the results by those restaurants that are currently open and delivering food.
Vegan Los Angeles This is a cute free app with a nice vegan restaurant guide plus vegan recipes. It could use more recipes but the restaurant guide is nice.
ABC7 - Los Angeles News & More This is a great free way to catch up on local news and content including weather, sports, horoscopes, local cheap gas, movie showtimes, and more.
LAL-Hoops News This free app is a news aggregator for the Los Angeles Lakers. It's got news from both local and national sources and blog feeds - but would be nice if it included the Lakers' schedule.
LA Metro: AnyStop This free app has Metro Los Angeles transit schedules - bus, rail and ferry. Occasionally the times aren't accurate on this app - not sure why - but it shouldn't be trusted 100%.
