TweetDeck (Twitter, Facebook) Although I like the official Twitter app well enough, and I will say that it seems to let you see more unread tweets in one go while offline, I have to say that for Twitter and for other social media purposes, I much prefer Tweetdeck. It's great because you can see multiple accounts, including Facebook, Foursquare, and Google Buzz making it a powerful all-in-one app. I also like how you can see multiple columns with search results even when you're not online. I like this app so much I've switched to using it on my computers as well.

Facebook A bit redundant with the above app, but the official Facebook Android app is improving slowly from its original, kind of crap incarnation. It still has limited functionality compared to accessing Facebook from your computer or a browser, but it's getting there, and I enjoy the widget with the most recent updates from my friends.

Tumblr See your Tumblr dashboard or make a post out of picture, audio, or video file you just captured on your phone. Simple and highly functional.

Google Buzz widget In many ways Google Buzz is a redundant social network for me since I use Google Reader, Twitter, and Google Talk so heavily, which are the three sources of content for most of the people on my Google Buzz feed; still, I've noticed that conversation about that content is still occurring on Buzz for me so I still like having an app where I can post and access it. However, this is just a widget to post--if you want to access it you still need to use your browser.

LJBeetle This is probably one of the best apps to update your LJ but it doesn't really have the function to read it outside of your browser.

NewsRob (Google Reader / RSS) NewsRob lets you download your 200 most recent articles posted to your Google Reader, as well as share, star, and mark articles unread. The pro version lets you comment on them as well.
