24 Hours in My App Life  by GirlGoneGeek

GirlGoneGeek says: This list was an experiment in app tracking - my day starts with the alarm clock on my Android phone and I'm tapping away at app after app all day long. I tracked them one Sunday and this is what I came up with...
GirlGoneGeek's picks
  1. AlarmDroid (alarm clock)
AlarmDroid (alarm clock) Yep, even though it was a Sunday I had to wake up on time to get to my team practice. I like using this app to set multiple recurring alarms for different days of the week.
  2. WeatherBug
WeatherBug Of course I had to know how to dress for practice! Sunny and 65, so I wore shorts.
  3. Foursquare — Best City Guide
Foursquare — Best City Guide Checked in at the practice field as proof that I did get up and actually go. Looks like I'm going to be mayor if I check in 2 more times!
  4. theScore: Sports & Scores
theScore: Sports & Scores Since I miss the first part of the Sunday NFL games each week (again, I was at practice), I kept up on the scores with ScoreMobile.
  5. Seesmic (Facebook, Twitter)
Seesmic (Facebook, Twitter) On and off this app with my Twitter accounts ALL DAY. I manage multiple accounts and love this app for the interface.
  6. chomp SMS
chomp SMS My favorite SMS/MMS app for so many reasons, like customized notification sounds. I used it to make dinner plans with a friend.
  7. K-9 Mail
K-9 Mail Got a couple of emails to check on multiple accounts, one alerting me to a new photo I was tagged in on Facebook.
  8. Bloo - Facebook 1.4.4d Beta
Bloo - Facebook 1.4.4d Beta Pictures from the game yesterday! Also accepted an event invite, a friend request, and posted a few things on friends' walls.
  9. doubleTwist Music Player, Sync
doubleTwist Music Player, Sync Music for the road... I love DoubleTwist for sycing my iTunes songs and playlists from my computer to my phone so I can listen to them anywhere. With my new Bluetooth FM receiver, I used this app for my music when I was driving all day.
  10. JuiceDefender - battery saver
JuiceDefender - battery saver It's not the LAST app I used yesterday, but I'm out of sections to describe my Day in App Life! This one is important in keeping me going through more or less constant phone usage. I run this one all the time to keep my battery in shape. When I'm playing with the phone all day, this one's a lifesaver for conserving battery, closing out background apps I'm not using and forgot to close, and setting power profiles.
