Do you frequently use Zipcar's service — or are you interested in giving it a try? The company's Android app has everything you need to get the most out of your membership.
In case you've never heard of it, Zipcar is a pay-as-you-go rental service, in which users are charged by the hour or day. The service describes itself as being much cheaper than if you were to rent the traditional way or buy a new car. If you live in a city, or don't drive all that often, there's probably no good sense in buying your own car. Members also aren't responsible for insurance or gas.
Perhaps the most useful parts of this app are the ability for users to book or change reservations and find Zipcars in the area. If you feel like being picky, you can also use the app to track down a certain kind of car.
The neatest part, though, is the fact that Zipcar turns your phone into a functioning key fob, allowing you to lock and unlock your Zipcar and sound your horn (say, to help you find your car the maze of a parking garage) with the push of a button.
Zipcar's app has a clean, well-designed interface that I had no difficulty finding my way around. The application, from registering with Zipcar, to making a reservation, is fairly easy to use.
